Prophetic studies are an important path in our spiritual journey, they guide us as to where we are in Biblical history and where we are headed. Take for an example, the prophet Isaiah spoke of the messiah in Isaiah 61:1 - The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because he has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.

We then look at Luke 4:16-19 - It says, And he (Jesus) came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood for to read.

And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written. The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

Here we see prophecy with fulfillment and Christ himself gave us some things to look for in the book of Matthew 24 reference the last days that we are living in. Friends, in the book of 1 Timothy 4:11-16, the Apostle Paul admonishes him to take command and teach, to pay attention to reading, to exhortation and doctrine and at the end he can save both himself (Timothy) and them that here him. It is so for us today, we are encourage to do the same with the word of God, to understand what the prophets spoke of as they were admonished by God and where we are today. God bless you.
